Where to Get a Board

Hooked after your first night? These builders support the crokinole community — and our club. Here's who they are and how to pick your first board.

Buying Guide

Choosing your first board

Try before you buy

Come to a play night and play on a few different boards. You'll quickly feel the difference in speed and bounce.

Go full size

Look for a tournament-size board (about 26" playing surface) with eight pegs. Smaller "family" boards play very differently.

Surface matters most

A smooth, hard, well-finished playing surface is what makes a board fun. Looks are a bonus.

Start with a bundle

A board plus buttons, a cover and scoring pieces is the easiest start. Add a carrying case if you'll bring it to play nights.

Care for it

Keep it out of direct sun and humidity, store it flat, and wipe the surface before play. A light polish keeps it fast.

Ask the regulars

Club members own boards from both partners and are happy to share what they like about each.

Partner links are recommendations from players. If a link includes a club code, using it helps support the Denver Crokinole Club.
